Yes, It's almost there but finding the time over the last few months has been tricky due work/flying/family etc etc!

The wings are fully ready with radio gear installed and tail feathers are complete.

All that remains is covering and painting the fuselage and attaching the landing gear.

I'm still undecided as to whether or not to install the rigging wire.

I've toyed with the idea of making a mock radial engine out of depron as you can see in the photos - without it the cowl looks very empty - but  this is just one more thing to finish off so I think it'll maiden  without.

Rigging is pretty fiddly so I think once it's together it'll be staying together. Just about fits in the van in one piece.

For the black lettering decals I've been printing out complete black A4  water transfer sheets, spraying with varnish and then cutting out the  letters. A little bit fiddly to apply but they came out ok in the end.

I did try masking and painting the letters to start but just couldn't  get crisp enough edges. Time will tell if they are durable enough.

I'm not entirely happy with pilot Alexandru Papana's paint job but I think this will have to wait too. (But fit the smoke detector asp - Ed)

The good news is I've got some free time over the next two weeks and  determined to get it finished so hopefully maiden coming up soon

 Cheers Martin D
