AARGH! AN OILY! Sensitive electric fliers should look away now BRIAN JACKSON AND HIS SIG KADET Brian sent in his Mug Shot for the Faces page with this explanation of the model, which older members (are there other types??) might recognise. Hello Mike, the real interest in the picture is the SIG Kadet. Downloaded from Outerzone on lots of A4 sheets. Built during the early lockdown in 2021 from stuff I had in the shed. Engine is an OSFS .40 (eBay bargain!). Covering is Polyspan from John Hook, saved from my free flight days. Three coats of (probably illegal) nitrate dope, fuel proofed with Rustin’s 2-pack floor varnish. Modified the original wing by reducing the dihedral and adding ailerons. A mod which I now regret as setting up the ailerons was a nightmare due to the sensitivity. Kind regards. Brian.
