The D-Rock Hawker Hurricane - nearly the end
by Mike Roach
You may rememberthat I was unsuccessfully building a kit Hurricane until it dawned on me that there was no way I was going to be able to complete it in the suggested manner, so I redesigned and rebuilt the model, adding some weight but “improving” it no end. I think this is where it had got to in the last Sloping Off.
I finished sheeting the wing and made all the control surfaces
Then with a stash of Solartex, did all the covering. Although you can’t see it, the underside is sprayed “sky” from Dulux paints mixed in accordance with the instructions in the last Sloping Off. The exhaust manifold ejectors and the various scoops and bulges are made and I have a pilot, but he’s too small, so I need a 1/8th RN pilot to complete the cockpit.
