Now that we have a membership year running from April to March, October no longer seems to be an appropriate time of year for the AGM. We would like to change to a month that gives us the ability to use the information and decisions coming from the meeting in the current year. Holding the AGM in May will give us this ability. Accordingly a proposal will be put to the meeting to amend the first sentence of paragraph 10 of the Constitution to read "The Annual General Meeting of the Club shall be held in May of each year". If the motion is carried, the next AGM would be in May 2004.
Please come along and have your say in the running of the Club
Mike Roach - Hon. Sec.
