Flying the Flag
by Trevor Hewson

What could be better than pleasant day out in the warm Easter sunshine, chatting about models and modelling to anyone who passes? Neil Longman, Derek Longman, Phil Wheeler and I did exactly that on Good Friday, in support of the FROGS (Friends & Residents of the Grange Community Association) fund-raising day. Andy Tubb dropped by too, as did a few past and prospective members.

The display was strictly static, apart from a couple of taxying demonstrations. The field (Dorset Road recreation ground) is not large enough for a proper flying display although we have on previous occasions indulged in a bit of helicopter hovering. However, this was a bright and breezy day, and the only thing which looked likely to take off was the Gazebo.
