Launch technique proved to be every
bit as important as model design..
Andy Tubb battled it out with Chairman Clive for top honours in the different flying classes.
Andy went for duration and distance
with a very stylish semi-scale glider, whereas Clive's model owed
more to the balsa chuckies of his youth and proved to be the best
of the aerobats.
Prize for the most creative design went to Jim Ruffell's Enterprise. For most of the evening this unlikely looking model resisted all attempts to make it fly, but persistence paid off and he got there in the end. All in all this was a most entertaining and enjoyable evening, which I am sure we will be doing again.
