Half scale bleriot

Just for info for your club members, FONF (Friends of New Forest Airfields) are now looking after a 1/2 size Bleriot originally built for (I think)1999 to commemorate the 90th Anniversary of Bleriot's crossing in 1909. The builders' plan was to fly it acros the channel under R/C to raise money for Wateraid but I'm told that they couldn't get enough power out of it. They donated it to Bournemouth Aviation Museum who sadly now can't display it or easily store it these days, so we've agreed to dry store it and occasionally have it on show at events, weather
permitting.

Provisionally we hope to have it on display at our August 14th Open Day at Merryfield Park (a day we share with the much larger Wessex Fire and Rescue Open Day also at Merryfield Park).

The Bleriot still has all the r/c gear in it but zero compression on the
engine.

We had it out for the first time in Highcliffe at the British Legion 90th
Funday in June. There is a video walk round on our area on You Tube, just search for fonfa utube on that site and you'll find our little collection of about 7-8 videos.

Cheers
