Membership now stands at around 117.

Strawberry Field.  As stated our application was reviewed by NFNPA and I received a reply on the 19^th June, 2013. We received FULL planning consent to fly gliders and elec models only. Our application had to show access from the road, parking area, access to the flying strip along with the pits area. ALL No Fly zones were listed in detail, along with plans & maps.

So, please observe the rules of parking and the pits area and KEEP IT QUIET. We look forward to many years of happy flying from this private site.

Stanpit Recreation Ground. I have recently signed a further 3 year agreement with Christchurch Borough Council for the continued use of the site. No changes. Seven day use in daylight hours. This is subject to no other booked activities taking place (very few days each year).

Hordle Show was again attended by a few members. The public attended in droves. Well done to ALL those who assisted our club.

Indoor flying now booked (I await the paperwork from Durlston Court School). Twice each month with dates agreed until Christmas. Further dates for Jan, Feb & March will be agreed by the end of December.

The dates are all Friday evenings, 7.30pm till 10pm. 13^th & 27^th Sept. 11^th & 25^th Oct. 8^th & 22^nd Nov and 13^th & 20^th Dec.  The last two are weekly as the school has their own events booked.

We have events at all the monthly club meetings up to & including March 2014.

I recently set up a Spektrum Dx8 transmitter for a modeller. It was  VERY easy after doing a download to my SD card. I copied it to his Tx from my own one. Being just a little bit clever I thought I’d copy it to my Dx18 Tx, too. Amazingly the Tx realised the other Tx (Dx8) was different, thus not allowing the transfer.

I also see that Spekrum have introduced a 9 channel transmitter to the market. They now have a 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 & 18 channel Tx’s.

The new FR Sky 16 channel Tx appears to be the best I’ve seen (yet) AND only £140.
