This is NOT a CDMFC field but a completely separate group with a membership fee of its own. We’ve included it because it has a number of advantages. Some of us joined when Strawberry Field was closed and have enjoyed a very good and usually pretty quiet site. The field in use is moved around by the land owner depending on his “crop rotation”.
It is a very flat field, with closely mown grass (it’s actually on a “Sod Farm”). IC power, ducted fan and (presumably, although I’m not certain) gas turbines are allowed to fly. But because it is next to Bournemouth Airport, the height limit is 400ft, which rules out serious glider flying. Detail of how to join are at the foot of the page.
