MODELS BY THE LATE KEITH DALTON - FOR SALE

Many thanks to Dave Blandford and Tim Sullings for the model photos and details and to Margot and Keith’s family for making them available to Club members

For those who don't know, Keith passed away on 8th September. He was a long-time modeller and one-time chairman of the club.

Keith was a skilled flyer, having A, B and C certificates. He was also an accomplished model engineer, as evidenced by his collection of model stationary steam engines, which are also for sale. See below.

Keith was well known and liked and will be greatly missed. Our sympathies to Margot and family.

If you are interested in acquiring anything listed here please contact Margot by phone between 4pm and 8pm to make an offer and arrange viewing the model. Margot lives near Bournemouth hospital. Margot Dalton 01202 972149. 4pm – 8pm only please.

The first offer matching the value listed will secure the purchase. Offers below the value will be noted and held for 7 days pending one that matches the asking price. If none is forthcoming after that time, it’s yours.

Obviously, offers are made subject to viewing the purchase, then providing both parties are happy, the deal goes through. Please note that payment will be strictly cash-only (that for stationary engines is yet to be arranged). E&OE.

Dave Blandford.

Some 16 models are presented here. Please note that I have not seen these at first hand. Tim has kindly produced the excellent photos but we have not examined them internally. All are electric (except for one slope soarer) and have motors/props, and we are fairly sure that they all have servos as all the surfaces appear to be connected internally. It is thought that ESCs are included but this is not guaranteed. If not then the price will be reduced by £10 per ESC missing.

Quality Models - Well-built from kit or plan, in excellent condition, and clean.

MOST OF THE MODELS HAVE FULL ELECTRICS WITH CORONA RX.

C Piper Cub 80in

C. CITABRIA, white. 80" span.       £100.

This is a kit-built model, probably for IC power originally, judging by the oily dust I’ve cleaned off it. Apart from the cockpit front side windows it’s in pretty good condition, but needs the electronics fettling. I can’t actually see inside the cowl, but there’s an electric motor, RX, UBEC, SBEC and so on. Condition is good.

E Partenavia

E. Partenavia. 63" span.      £150.

This kit-built model is in very good condition. It has a moulded fuselage and twin electrics. If you want a scale twin this would be a good bet

J Me109 50in

J. Me109 foamie. 50" span. Retracts, nice.   £55

The model is in fair to good condition. The retracts and controls work and there are no major dings or bashes to mar the looks.

Cheapies - Own-designs and hybrid (repaired) models.

M Red Twin Homebrew 45in

M. Red Twin. 45" span. A home-brew speed-demon.   £35. Flies well.

A odd tail shape, easily changed! Everything works.

O Shell Suhkoi 48in

O. Shell Sukhoi. 48" span. Home-brew fuz. Flies well.   £35.

This seems to be proprietry wings and tail with an OD fuselage.

P Helo

P. Helicopter with flybar. No other details.   £Offers.

There’s what was thought to be a Phase 6, but is in fact a Phase 6 wing and an unrelated but similar fuselage. Offers!

Transmitters

All these transmitters are throttle-right, but easily changed.

Turnigy TGY9. Unknown radio, unknown history.

Assumed working.       £30.

Taranis X7 Tx, dead. For spares.

This died prematurely and was replaced.    £5.

  T Turnigy TGY9

Receivers, ESCs, Outrunner Motors, Chargers

Corona long-range receivers, CR8D (3), CR4D (2).  £5 each.

FrSky S6R with 3-axis stabilization.    £5.

Various ESCs, mainly 20A to 40A.    £5 each.

Various outrunners, mainly 20A to 40A. Good, clean.  £5 each.

The Rest...

The “Freebie” stuff has been taken to sell or give away at the Club Swap Meet, Bransgore Village Hall, 6 November. Doors open at 7pm. There’s a big box of props, all sizes from 6” to 13”, a stack of 35mHz RXs, loads of spares of one sort or another.

Stationary Steam Engines

Finally, Margot has a collection of 10 beautiful stationary steam engines for sale. Doctor David is researching the best way to offer these for sale.

Keith made these engines, one a year during the winter when grounded due to weather. All are in good working order and will run happily on compressed air. If you are interested in acquiring one, or know someone who might be, Margot would love to hear from you.

Please refer to the photos and contact Margot to see which ones are still available. Suggested prices are in the range £800 to £1200
