Flying at Longham has been approved by formal agreement between the landowners, Bournemouth Water and the Club. Flying was permitted from 1 Jan 2012.

Longham is open to any Club member. (You can join the Club here: members of clubs affiliated to the BMFA, or individual BMFA members can join at very much reduced rates.) You must carry your Club membership card with you when flying. It is recommended that, for safety reasons, you are accompanied by at least one other flier because the lake is deep, cold and potentially dangerous!

The lake is located at BH22 9AB and the turning to the Study Centre is on the north side of the A348 Ringwood Road about half a mile south of the Longham double roundabout junction B3073/A348. There is a white house on the south side of the road. The turning is opposite this house.

The site is open every day from 0800 to one hour after sunset. There is no restriction on public access (although parking is restricted to permit holders such as Club members).
