Trevor’s latest
Trevor’s latest addition to the ever increasing hanger he has in the grounds of Hewson Towers (well, he never crashes anything, so there are models going back at least 15 years) is the biggest yet. It’s a Cliff Charlesworth design Falke T61 motor-glider, and at 147” span, is certainly big enough to dominate the back room at the Walkford. Rather than give you any more details, the easy way to find out about it is to visit either Trevor’s website at http://homepage.mac.com/trevorhewson/home/modelflying/flynews.html
or the RC Groups build log he has been keeping at http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1205266
Either way gives a much better picture than a mere synopsis of the trials and delights he has had during the build.
Needless to say there have been some head-scratching moments. Mr Charlesworth is not the easiest of draughtsmen to interpret and his enthusiasm for scale structures places quite a few demands on the builder. Sheeting a wing LE with 0.4mm ply is just one of them!
For any copy-cats, Cliff does the tandem-seat version…..
