EDITORIAL

This issue is dedicated to the memory of Flight Lieutenant John Egging, RAF: “Red 4”, who died in a Red Arrows crash after the Bournemouth Air Display on 20th August.

“Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth

And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings.

Sunwards I’ve climbed and joined the tumbling mirth

Of sun-split clouds, and done a hundred things

You have not dreamed of, high in the sunlit silence”

(from High Flight, by John Gillespie McGee)
