Chairman’s review of 2010

Committee Meetings – 10 this year because of various happenings.

BMFA Tests – 4 members have achieved the “A” Cert in various disciplines.

Christchurch Borough Council Sports Council. Attended 4 of 4 meetings.

Club Events –

Club quiz night at Jan meeting with free food and a free draw at meeting.

Rosebowl club Thermal glider comp was held at a WSA flat field site – a great day in July.

2 slope club days out (could have enjoyed better weather!)

Hordle Fete. 6 members attended representing the club.

4-Max visited  with a display & talk about their items

Oct where we all enjoyed a superb talk about model aircraft wings, etc by our very own David Shires.

Nov Club Auction. Total turnover was £800 – the best ever & 42 members there to help the sellers.

For the first time ever the club acquired use of a private field (Strawberry Field) at Boldre, near Lymington. Many thanks go to Terry Butterfield and Keith Young.

7  Indoor Flying sessions held at Bournemouth Uni.
