What a great flying Spring we’ve had. Warmer & drier than the past few years.
We’ve had a speaker at every club meeting this year. The unusual presentation was given by our club member Ian Lewis about his ground based model “Razor.” This was his development (with a friend) of the ‘Razor’ “Robot Wars” model shown on TV in 1998 – 1999. It weighs a little under 100 kilo (220lb). An amazing model that worked well in the Walkford Hall!!

The club has now purchased another 2.4 Futaba 6 channel system which can be linked to our existing 2.4 equipment for training.
Thanks to Keith Young it’s getting plenty of use.
The Friday Night Pure Glider & Electric Glider competitions are underway and we have increased the entries from 2010. As previous years, bring another electric model along and have some sport flying.
Four club members regularly enter the electric thermal glider comps held at the WSA site, Chalbury Farm, Horton, Dorset. (we are all WSA members.)
If you are not a WSA member you can still enter an electric glider comp. It’s free, as a guest. Come and ‘have a go’. Nothing beyond the ability of those who fly electric gliders with C&DMFC.
Saturday 25th June --- It’s to be an electric model, club fly-in day. Scale models particularly welcome. It’s not a competition, just good old fashion fun. Should the weather be @!? Then it’ll be Sat 2nd June. 10am start.
If the weather looks @!? Then ring my mobile number on the Friday evening – 07786 887888. Don’t forget to bring your field entrance lock key.
and remember, safe flying is no accident.
