2007 hasn’t been very kind so far, has it? The BlueBird 100” models have been taking shape; many have graced the winter grey skies. While I remember. I have one BlueBird model residing at the back of my workshop. It’s new in box and just waiting for a kind member to insert two servos in the fuselage. The price is only £70 (normal retail £89.99). Please call me on 07786 887888 or email to terryantell@aol.com. One evening would have it ready for our practice evening during April.
Your committee have had plenty to keep them on their toes. Finance is an ever present fact of life. We are always exploring ways to save money or acquire the services of guest speakers at nil cost.
One such occasion was a visit by Manny Williamson, representing the British Model Flying Association (BMFA). A lively and interesting evening portraying some things the BMFA have done and are still achieving for the whole of model aviation. I view an association as a like minded group helping their particular interests. A bit like the CBI for companies and unions for employees. United we stand and achieve, divided we fall. I’ll now get down from the soap box!!
The April meeting will be given over to the BlueBird and any other electric model.Bring your BlueBird along and I (we’ll) assist with setting it up for you. Bring any other electric model along and we’ll (try) and set that up, too.
At the AGM we shall suggest a couple of BlueBird practice flight evenings at Stanpit.
If you fly at Beaulieu Heath you’ll need to belong to the BMFA before you apply for membership which is still only £5. There is a limit on membership now, it’s 500, so apply ASAP.

PS Just a note to congratulate Leonard B Wiseman on his articles about buying and flying a Spitfire. It was just like reading the old Janet & John books. MARVELLOUS.
