Andrew’s nietopertz (eagle eared bat)

Andrew Tubb sent me these photographs of what I thought was a Fauvel flying wing, but it turns out to be a Polish design by the Bielska company, more recognisably famous as the manufacturer of the Pirat and Jantar.  The model is 100” span and 1/6th scale.—Ed.

Control is by elevons, naturally.  Here we see the carbon rods for the linked offset movement.

The flying wing movement was at its peak in the 1930s and produced some elegant designs. The bottle of ailiphatic gives some scale to the structure.
